Peace of mind that your Will is safe and secure
Can you keep your Will at home? Technically you can. But there’s a risk that your Will could be damaged by fire, flooding, or mould. And sometimes people mislay their important documents during house moves or major clear-outs.
A safer option is to store it in the Will bank that we have at Armour Wills.
You don’t have to worry about its security or condition. It’s a fully secured facility, monitored by CCTV and it has full protection against any flooding or water damage.
I’ll also register your Will on the National Will Register. This means that your executors know exactly how to access your Will.
I charge a small annual fee of £24 for storing a single Will and £36 for couples. This fee includes free Will updates, where you can change beneficiaries, executors, guardians, gifts, addresses, and more.
It’s important to keep your Will up to date, so that your estate is distributed exactly how you would like it to be. Often the barrier to updating a Will is the additional cost, so that’s why I like to offer this service for free.
I’m afraid that extra services are not included in the free Will update. For example, I will not be able to add a Will Trust or other clauses to the Will, which were not in the original document.
If you’d like a home visit or estate planning advice, then there may be a charge, but the cost of updating your Will is free.
